For the past two months on my ministry e-letters and social media I have been reminding folks of the “SON OF GOD” movie that hits over 3,000 theaters nation-wide tomorrow on Friday, February 28, 2014! Since childhood, I love going to the theater and enjoy trailers promoting future films but my favorite is the poster in a glass case with neon lights and big letters above noting “COMING SOON!”

Never more appropriate than the release of this Biblical blockbuster. JESUS is COMING SOON in more ways than one (not just in theaters tomorrow) but on His Way to take souls Home. Two years ago, I was a guest on Lauren Green, Chief Religion Contributor for Fox News on her “Spirited Debate” program and Rev. Harold Camping had picked a date that Jesus would return. I was on the show the eve of the prediction and she asked me my thoughts. Ironically, I had been flooded on Facebook and social media from concerned friends if in fact Camping was right. My response was and holds true today, “I give Camping credit for at least reminding others of the Second Coming. However, I am convinced that his prediction for tomorrow is not accurate because the Bible says, ‘No man knows the day or hour when Christ will return.’ The real answer to the question is not if Jesus is coming tomorrow but are you ready if the Lord came now?”

It was my privilege two years ago to first meet Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey in Atlanta with Dr. Luis Palau during our conference. Mark and Roma are legends in Hollywood and I admire them for boldly sharing their faith. Like Zacchaeus, they “went out on a limb” for the Lord. Some may think you are NUTS but the Bible says, “We will know them by our fruit” and nothing like sweet fellowship and forgiveness by God when we trust by faith. We were able to see a sneak peak of their THE BIBLE television show with fellow evangelists and preachers before it hit television and what are the odds but I was blessed to reunite with them as they shared to the world their new movie “SON OF GOD.”

What an honor it was for me to be part of the distinguished panel on “HANNITY” in NYC last week (aired February 21, 2014) promoting Christ and this film. Other guests included: Lauren Green, Tony Perkins, Ralph Reed, Steven Mansfield and others! It is much more than a movie but a movement powerfully portraying the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Lord. I shared that this movie will make HISTORY because Mark and Roma have told “His Story.”

We were so honored to be a guest on Sean’s show and I am grateful that Fox News unashamedly promotes Christ and The Truth. I am mindful that “Truth is not a policy, program or party but a Person; Jesus The Christ.” It has been 15 years since Mel Gibson released THE PASSION and both films will be used mightily by God to share the plan of salvation to a lost and dying world. Charlton Heston was right when he eloquently said, “The Gospel is the greatest story ever told.” That old hymn I sang as a child and still today as an adult say it best for me,

“I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

Mark and Roma and their cast and crew not only told it but poured their lives into this film. In past forty days they have been in 30 cities. The reason, I left politics in July 2007 is because in my heart I knew president’s come and go but The King was on His way and we need more of God not less. I can relate to Mark and Roma hitting the road because we both are out to get Jesus elected into the hearts and homes of souls around the world. JESUS is our only Hope!

It was my honor to see the SON OF GOD movie at an advanced screening in Washington, D.C. earlier this month thanks to my friend, Pastor Mark Batterson and the church he pastors at NCC for hosting it. This film is POWERFUL! The movie is Biblical in content and my prayer is that multiplied millions respond coming by saving grace of God graduating from religion to relationship with a PERSONAL faith with Christ. The answers in life are not the “stars of Hollywood” but the “Son of Heaven” and its a wonderful thing when Heaven and Hollywood collide. Thank God for Jesus and Sean Hannity, Mark and Roma and countless Christians and clergy who love and live to tell the Gospel Story. For us, it never gets old! Jesus is NOT a way to Heaven but “The Way, Truth and Life and NO ONE comes to the Father but by Him (Jesus).” – John 14:6.

Pastors, church leaders, youth ministers, parents and concerened friends I encourage ALL of you to see the SON OF GOD movie this weekend! It will touch lives like no other movie. The fact is we don’t need just another movie but we all need the MESSIAH! Some people say Jesus is a ‘Good Teacher.” My fourth grade teacher, Ms. Hill was good and even great but not God!! Jesus is not just good. Jesus, The Christ alone is God! Buy a ticket for you and your friend and let God do the rest.
