Yes, it is true. God saved over 21,000 souls to Himself in Jamaica with Praisefest Ministries “Cruise with a Cause” on May 30-June 4, 2011. As long as I live, we will forever recall what God did with 3,000 saints who took a vacation to help change a nation.
It has been my privilege to have participated on all four Praisefest cruises and this was the largest effort yet. Ruth and I had the time of our lives and we give all glory to God and grateful for Dr Matthew Dunaway and his team for allowing us to partner with their KINGdom building work. It was heralded as the largest missions event in history as we told HIS STORY.
Yesterday, we posted over 100 pictures on Facebook from our trip and what a JOY to reconnect with some precious friends and meet so many new ones. The night of the crusade we took a bus from the boat to the stage and the crowd extended as far as the eye could see. The Jamaican government invited Praisefest to have access into 200 public schools and share the Gospel with over 133,000 students. Between the schools, prisons and crusade in just two days in Jamaica we counted over 21,000 salvations. Those are the ones who physically took time to write out a card with their information so we could begin the follow-up for discipleship long after we were gone. God only knows how many trusted Christ that we didn’t get information from and they have already invited Praisefest to return. It was Heaven on Earth!
Revival is to encourage and re-energize those whom are saved. Redemption is for those whom were lost and now found. Revival is real and those that suggest it is not important anymore is like saying a car doesn’t need fuel periodically. God showed up and SHOWED OFF in Jamaica!
Ruth and I were blessed to bring over 60 friends who signed up under “FRANK & FRIENDS” and we had a time! Friends, mark this down in your mental rolodex and prayerfully consider joining us on the next Praisefest cruise. It will not only change your life but all those whom you come in contact with. Dr Johnny Hunt was such a blessing on the ship and counting preaching and MC a couple concerts I was blessed to speak 8 times. The love and unity on the ship was HEAVENLY and it is wonderful when churches of countless denominations come together to lift up Jesus.
Some hear the word “cruise” and think we are playing games at sea. Well, we certainly had fun in the sun but it was a working vacation. Only once did I get to have dinner and dessert during our scheduled meal because I was assigned to minister somewhere on the ship or island. Four nights in a row I didn’t get to bed before 2AM and the other night was after 3AM only to be ready to lead a team and preach on the island at 8AM the next day. It was non-stop ministry but we would do it all over again tomorrow if we could. We live to see souls saved.
We had folks join us from infants to senior citizens and came from all 50 states and many countries. A couple assigned to the school that I was blessed to lead came all the way from Australia! Tell your pastor and youth minister or school about www.CruisewithaCause.org Meeting the children was priceless and sharing the love of Jesus with them was icing on the cake. Jamaica is beautiful and their Jerk Chicken is out of this world! Jamaica for years has been known as the land of Bob Marley (reggae) but after this week it may very well be the Land of Jesus!
Frank you totally rock for The Rock bro! You are such an encouragement to me and my wife and we are praying we can make it on the ship next year. Love you buddy, you are an awesome friend and mentor! All glory to God almighty!
Awesome brother Frank!!!
Doc, you’re one of my spiritual heroes. Love ya bro.
Glory to God in the Highest!!! Thank-you Lord!!!!
Frank, I have preached with you in Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina and a couple places in between. Brother, you RANG BELLS on the Praisefest Cruise with a Cause to Jamaica.
I couldn’t be more proud of you! You took us to Glory!! That singles you preached at was completely packed and about 20 ladies behind me were having a time listening to you bragging on Jesus. You were on all cylinders and you could have preached another hour and no one would have cared. What a sermon!
On the way home I told Lex Luger about your sermon and how the crowd was touched by your message. We both are so proud of you!
God has given you a real gift and thank you for telling me about Cruise with a Cause. I hope to bring my entire family next year. Hope to see you in GA in a couple weeks and we can tag team preach at Pastor R.C. church.
God bless you Frankie, Ruth, Hannah and Hot Rod Lincoln
Frank, it was a delight to meet you on the cruise ship in Jamaica. I am a pastor in Ohio and my wife and I visited your singles session on the ship. It was AMAZING! We ran into a woman at breakfast before exiting the boat who attended all 8 singles conference and she went on and on how you were her favorite speaker.
We both love your transparency and the way you preach with such passion and energy!! The room was standing room only and God was moving in a special way as you preached. We wish you could have gone on and on.
I would love to bring you to our church in Ohio sometime soon for a revival. Perhaps we can bring Jessica McCoy too. Thanks for promoting God and others and allowing God to use. Brother Frank, your ministry was a big blessing to my family. God bless you –
Frank, I just want to let you know how special you are to me, mom and our church family in Maryland. You and Ruth are a blessing to us and we love you very much. Thank you for all you have done for me. We look forward to having you back to preach at church and you are the man!
Amen Brother Frank. I plan on going with you all next year.
FRANK! It was such a pleasure getting to meet you. I’d love to stay in touch. I will be talking with people at my home church – Lakewood Church in Houston, TX to see how the process works for getting you here! Hope you’re having a great day and a great week! Blessings…
Thank you Frank for sharing Cruise with a Cause with me. It was a joy to be there and hear you preach twice. You were AWESOME, ANOINTED & AMAZING!!!!!!! I wish you had more time to preach but you were on fire! God bless you friend and it was nice to finally meet Ruth.

thanks soooo much for the update brother on souls!!!!!!!!!! i was anxiously waiting for someone to give me an idea of what took place down there… PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! Part of me says “I wish i was with you guys” but it wasn’t in Gods plan….all good… accept whatever it is, continue to walk the walk and not question but roll on…….
Miss you brother… hope all is well….
Frank – Praise the Lord!! That is amazing – many times when I read your updates I think of the time you were here at the USCP and the struggle you were having in trying to do the right thing (like the Spike Lee movie!!) – God has you where you should be – I know it is not all strawberries and cream all the time, but God is really using you – pleased to call you my friend!
Larry
Brother Frank, because of your spirit of encouragement – the Lord is elevating you as few I’ve met. We are thrilled you are coming with us to the Olympics in London. God bless you little brother
it was an amazing cuise! I didnt see the vision until they were calling out the bus numbers, and the thought crossed my mind that 3000 people with the same agenda were invading Jamaica! Wow! 21,000 souls!! Also I am looking for people to come and do worship or speak at this Plant Church we started in a gym, if you or anyone you know is around the DC area we need help!
I went to YouTube and watched a video where you were doing impressions!! It was a time you were on with Marcus and Joni Lamb on DAYSTAR TV. You just said something in the video: “don’t ever put a Christian before Christ”….that sums up what I was saying…you just said it much more eloquently! I guess those 2.5 extra years you’ve got on me taught you that! LOL
You’re awesome! So glad to know you…look forward to doing what I can to help promote your calling in any way I’m able.
Blessings to you and your family,
Phyllis
Frank, I hope you are doing well. I was traveling this week and as is often the case had flight challenges. Got re-routed through Philly on my way to Milwaukee and between lay over and flight time was able to read your book I bought when you were at Putnam Baptist in Shelby, NC.
It was absolutely challenging. While really challenging me and how I am spending this life I read the last chapter on final approach in to Milwaukee in 30mph winds. Puts a whole different perspective on it. LOL. Great book my friend. Where can I get multiple copies to send out to my friends. God bless you
