Praise the Lord! Thank you friends for all the prayers, well-wishes and kind comments regarding my recent appearance on NITELINE TV in Greenville, SC.
It is an honor to share the Word with the world what Jesus means to me. God doesn’t need me but how I need Him. If you missed the two hour program last night as it aired across South Carolina on cable television they just posted a link for you to watch it in its entirety by clicking here – http://www.dovebroadcasting.com/niteline.php
My last post I shared part one of the two part interview on TCT – “REJOICE” in Marion, IL and it aired on DIRECTV earlier last year to some 500 Million homes. The second set was a blessing and its always a JOY to brag on Jesus.
Check back in near future as I post my interview with a SURPRISE Christian artist. My heart beats to promote the Lord and promote others. One of my pet peeves in ministry and in life is that as Christians we promote the Lord but for some reason fail at promoting others without feeling threatened. Zig Ziglar was correct: “What you do for others – God will do for you.” Jesus said: “It is more blessed to give than receive.” Without question, I believe until you can celebrate the success of others personally you will never go or grow to the next level professionally.
Blessings on you as you walk and talk with God. You are never alone when you go with God.
Actually, I was flipping around on the TV tonight and saw you on the Niteline program.
It reminded me of that time in Mississippi when you preached in that small rural church back in 1999.
What was that pastor’s name? I want to say Reagan Frye. Next time I’m up in the Maryland area I will definitely look you up. In the mean time, you need to check out my blog. It’s a review of restaurants that I visit as I travel the country.
I guess you could say I got my dad’s appetite. The address is http://www.fatguylittlefork.blogspot.com.
I missed the first 30 minutes or so, did you tell the Billy Graham-Ruthless joke? That one is always a classic.
Believe it our not, I have your CD that you gave my parents years ago. The Billy Graham bit is one of my all time favorites.
Thanks for the kind words and the letter you sent about my dad. On the Niteline program you talked about sowing seeds and one day we will see the results.
A couple days after my dad died, I got an email from a gentleman that was in Air Force Honor Guard with my dad. He wrote the nicest note. He said that in 1971 my father introduced him to Jesus. 4 years later he accepted Christ, but he said it was seeing Christ in my Dad that fanned a flame. After accepting Christ, some years later he became a pastor. How many lives has he touched since? It is truly amazing how God can use a simple thing as a smile, a hand shake and a friendship to ultimately save thousands of people. Brother, keep doing what you’re doing. My friend, you have a gift and it’s awesome to see you use it they way you are.
As a friend of mine said, “While we are saddened here on earth at his departure, heaven is rejoicing Mr. Cohee’s coming.” We will both see him again one day. And I can’t wait till that day come. If you are ever back this way, give me a ring.
