Welcome to my Official blog where we will strive to Promote JESUS & others! Friends, I have a passion for the Lord, Leadership, Life and Love. They say every preacher or author has a common theme that dominates their messages. Without question, mine always includes “perseverance.” This helps us “fight the good fight of faith” in the ring of Life. Since childhood, I have had a burning desire to lead the lost to my Lord.
If perseverance is my first name than “evangelism” certainly could be my middle name. This blog will Exalt Christ, Encourage Christians, Empower Clergy with the sole mission still set on saving souls! As a Christian, husband, father, evangelist, author, columnist, radio ministry and communicator; I have learned that ministers are great at promoting Jesus but we often fail at promoting others. Once, it seemed that our denominational differences on theology is what distanced us from each other. Today, I am afraid that personal insecurity and professional jealousy are hindering us from expanding God’s Kingdom and strengthening the Body of Christ. Sadly, Satan wants us to “compete” with one another but Christ commands and compels us to compliment and help COMPLETE one another.
In the coming days, weeks, months and years (should the Lord tarry), I would like to highlight musicians, ministers and ministries I have met on the road “while doing the work of an evangelist” and let them shine. Plus, it’s great to hear the story behind the song. Someone shared with me years ago that it is a “small person” who cannot celebrate the success of others without feeling threatened. How tragic but how true.
God showed me years ago, that we are never more like Jesus when we love, forgive and un-selfishly promote others. God smiles and the Body of Christ is on all cylinders. This will be a forum to minister to ministers, empower church leaders, encourage Christians and offer hope to the hurting. Today is a new day. We will no longer be satisfied sitting on the sidelines but get in the game for God’s glory. My prayer is to remove religious walls and erect eternal bridges that lead to the Lord. Truly, we find JOY with Jesus on our journey and like Steven Curtis Chapman’s classic from yesterday “There’s no better place than the road that leads to Heaven!”
