Meet Ruth
Hello! So good to meet you! I was born in El Salvador and my parents and siblings love the Lord. We are humble people and we are a very close family. Where we may not have great wealth, we were rich in faith and kindness to one another. God has been too good to us. My Dad. Jose is a pastor of over 60 years and they still live in my childhood home. We had a civil war in 1988 and my sister and I escaped and ran for our lives. We were temporarily detained in Mexico and via asylum entered the United States. We had big faith, next to no money but happy to be alive. Guerillas were going door to door killing, raping and looting. We made it safely to the “home of the free and land of the brave.”
Immediately, I began selling pupusas just trying to survive and then got a job at Kinko’s. The Lord opened the door for me to get a job at a Christian radio station in Dallas, TX and I lived in Irving. Quickly, I began rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the home I was living in was close to the original Texas Stadium. So close, when the Cowboys scored the roar from the crowd could be heard from my house! I also learned to love baseball and went many games while single to watch the Texas Rangers play. Nolan Ryan was one of my favorites!
I prayed for years that God would bring me a good, Christian man. I was specific in my request that he would be tall, white with blue eyes. He had to love God and I also saw him in my request working on Capitol Hill. God opened the door for me to take a new radio job in Washington, DC. I joke I only knew one person in Washington and it was the President of the United States. The only thing is I knew him but he didn’t know me! My dog, Cookie and I drove by faith to DC to start the new chapter of me being the station manager for a Christian radio station. We drove from Dallas to DC and slowly started building up the Christian-Spanish radio station and today we are on air daily on three stations in three cities (Washington, DC / Philadelphia, PA & Richmond, VA) but the reach online is global. God has been faithful and I am now celebrating over 32 years in Christian radio.
The Lord answered my prayer and I met the love of my life. Frank, indeed worked on Capitol Hill and he is also a preacher. He is tall, blue eyes and loves the Lord and me. Billy Graham had a wife named, Ruth and Frank does too! I joke he is my library book because when I can’t accompany him always on the road, I loan him to the world knowing he is coming right back! We are blessed with helping raise and watching two amazing humans mature as adults and Hannah just got married in TN and Andrew is on the honor roll in high school. We are so proud of them both. I have a variety of hobbies and I also have a radio program called, “The Prosperous Woman.” My co-host, Veronica share wisdom weekly to women and I am a speaker at conferences, lunches and sometimes share before Frank preaches. I love to cook and I will be sharing more soon. Please know I am fortunate to connect with you on this space and check back periodically as we update. God bless you and Frank and I are praying blessings on you today and always.
