Here's...........  FRANK! 

Frank Shelton, Jr . was born in Washington, D.C. and a life-long native of Waldorf, Maryland and graduated from college in North Carolina.  At 35, he as lived an extraordinary life. If his life ended tomorrow he is not only at peace of where he would spend eternity but grateful for the victories and valleys in between.  Some have remarked that " Frank has accomplished more in his spare time than most in their lifetime." He would be the first to point out that his entire life is living in God's grace and we shouldn't compete with one another but compliment each other to live up to our God-given potential.

    After 17 years on Capitol Hill; walking the corridors of Congress and interacting daily with people in power; he realized that the answer to life are not in the " gifts of government" but the " grace of God." So with just "One Life to Live" he decided to walk away from his secure job with salary, benefits and retirement; to chase the calling on his life to be willing to speak to whomever, wherever and whenever humanly possible to offer hope to the hurting, encouragement to the discouraged soul and empower others to become better and not remain bitter.

    He has a gift to not only communicate but connect with audiences of all ages! He interacts with all walks of life with ease and his personal character, charisma and  credentials have opened countless doors for him to build folks up and not tear them down. A man with a message and on a mission ; Frank has been known to address 1,000 high school or college students in the morning, encourage 750 junior high students before lunch, draft a speech for a Member of Congress by mid afternoon, empower corporate executive officers over a late afternoon tea and give a keynote speech at a civic fundraiser or preach a church revival that evening!  All the while, never forgetting to thank the janitorial staff whom stay after to clean up and make them feel like the most important people on the planet.  Frank really believes that the "greats" are gracious.  Many are winning "professionally" but fail personally to major in the minors and do the little things BIG!" 

     It is true: "People, dont care how much you know. They want to know how much you care." One elected official after hearing Frank's remarks noted: "Next to Pres. Bill Clinton, I have never seen anyone "work a room" like Frank Shelton!"

HIGHLIGHTS

     Accepting Christ as his personal Savior at age seven. Marrying Ruth, at Victory Chapel and being in the hospital room when his daughter, Hannah Grace was born. Those three top the highlight reel of his life personally. Frank had his DREAMS come true as a kid to meet Sylvester Stallone after winning a RAMBO II Contest. At 13, he and his Godmother, Judy Henderson flew from Washington, DC to Los Angeles, CA to spend the weekend with the Hollywood cast of the major motion blockbuster and iconic hero!  Lightening indeed struck twice because nearly 20 years to the date; Frank had the second in a LIFETIME experience to reunite with Sly Stallone as an "extra" in the final fight scene of "ROCKY BALBOA. " Frank reminds us that you may be: " Down, depressed, discouraged, defeated, divorced, debt but if you are not dead than God is not done with you!" November 2007, Frank was invited by Sylvester Stallone's sister-in-law, Julie to partner with her, Sly Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin-Stallone to promote their skin care/health products in a mutli-Billion dollar industry.

    Presently, Frank speaks to nearly 1 Million listeners per week. He co-hosts a weekly radio program "TALK OF THE TOWN" just outside of Washington, DC on WWGB 1030 AM and is a weekly "call in" guest on WDJC 93.7 FM in Birmingham, AL sharing inspirational messages of "Hope, Humor & Heaven on Earth."   He was a speaker at "Six Flags America" and addressed 7,000 youth at Virginia Commonwealth University. To date, he has co-authored SEVEN books. His NEW book getting ready to hit bookstores "FINAL APPROACH - Career vs Calling?" is part auto-biography  plus "Forest Gump" meets "The Purpose Driven Life!"  Carol Kent from "Women of Faith" wrote the foreword. 

    Frank's monthly "MOTIVATIONAL MINUTE" e-Letter is read by folks in 34 states. In June 2007, he shared his story "LIVE" on DAYSTAR TV on "Celebration" at Studio B in Dallas, TX to a world-wide audience of 200 Million viewers.  COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL has just contacted him about possibly being a featured speaker with their world-wide outreach. In 2006, with a full-time job on Capitol Hill; Frank still managed to speak 145 messages in 18 states. Frank is honored to partner with PRAISEFEST MINISTRIES "Cruise with a Cause" to evangelize the Bahamas for God's Glory!

    Frank's sincerity, humility and AMAZING life experiences make him a meeting planners delight! Ironically, he received a "D" in public speaking in high school but what his teacher saw at the time was "dissapointing" audiences across America consider it in the words of theologian J.J. from "Good Times" - DYNOMITE! Frank is a husband, father, former athelete and coach, friend to many and a commited Christian. Yes, he is an ordained minister and evangelist but he belives a good testimony is more important than a "big" title.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

      Frank was the keynote speaker at his fifth grade elementary school graduation in front of 400 peers, parents and principal.  For most ten year olds that would have been a daunting task! Like Michael Jordan with a basketball, a surgeon with a scalpel and Billy Graham with a Bible; Frank never felt more comfortable than when addressing an audience. More than a microphone in his hand but a burning message in his heart! 

    Three years later, Frank was elected President of the Student Council when he was in eighth grade and began to speak daily to the entire student body ( 800 students) delivering the morning announcements and giving speeches to nearly 1,000 folks (counting teachers) on a weekly basis by the time he was 13 years old. Entrusted with the privilege to speak at his eighth grade graduation in front of 1,250; once again when most would have sat down, he stepped up to the challenge.

At his high school graduation, he received a standing ovation in front of 1,800 folks. Leslie Stahl - reporter for
" 60 Minutes" congratulated Frank when he received his diploma and said: "Wow! You sure got alot of friends!" While a student, in high school; God laid on his heart to one day start a "God & Country" revival in his hometown. It would promote God and build "unity in the community."  Years, later he founded "Celebrate Jesus! Crusades" www.CelebrateJesusUSA.com and what started out as a mini revival in the county; ultimately blossomed across the Country.  Later, he was asked to speak at his college (while still a senior) in front of the student body at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. The campus minister said: "In my eight years here at the college; the night Frank spoke was the largest attended crowd during my tenure." Instantly, folks were inspired and the rest as they say is " history ." 

HOUSTON, We Have Lift Off! The Sky's the limit

     As an adult; five years after high school; Frank was appointed by the The Honorable Howard Greene, 
U.S . Senate Sergeant at Arms, in 1995 (age 23), to become youngest in modern memory to work as floor staff as a bi-partisan figure to interact daily with all 100 United States Senators at the U.S. Capitol Building.  Frank would work directly with Senators' from both sides of the aisle and had a front row seat to watch our Democracy work. Not a typical 9-5 job; Frank labored upwards 12 hours per day while listening up close to hear some of the finest orators of our time address the Nation. After leaving the U.S. Senate; Frank was offered a job with his hometown Congressman and began to draft speeches and remarks for him while his boss was climbing the rungs in the House Leadership.  When asked how he wrote a speech for a Congressman he replied: "First, I find his voice and language while writing the text; but I envision me actually giving the speech." (that is the only way I could write it)."

     It has been said: "If you can SEE it you can ACHIEVE it." Ironically, Frank went from writing speeches to actually giving them in the Congressman's absence at retirement dinners, ground-breakings, graduations, meeting with Generals at Andrews Air Force Base to even speaking at a "black tie" dinner honoring a Nobel Peace Prize receipient (in the Congressman's absence due to floor votes). From there, the doors began to open and he has never looked back. By his 30th birthday, Frank had been fortunate to witness not one but FIVE United States Presidents speak in person and like " Forest Gump ;" Frank actually met three of them personally. At age ten; Frank sat in the next to top row of the DC Convention Center and heard President Ronald Reagan speak (1982). One elected official noted: "Frank, has the rhetoric of Reagan and the charisma of Clinton." It has been said: "If you are faithful in small, you will be faithful in larger matters." 

    The "morale of the story" is regardless if addressing 7,000 at a leadership conference, 700 at a student assembly, 70 at a country church revival or speaking directly to seven incarcerated adults and teens forgotten by society. Frank Shelton always spoke to an audience of One (Frank knew that God was watching and regardless of the crowd He was doing it for Christ ).  He knows the "success" is in Him (Jesus) not himself.

     Today, nearly 1,000 ovations later, audiences all across America have found his message powerful , his demeanor personable and his programs practical! Frank's humility, sincerity and transparency make him a crowd favorite and a meeting planners delight.  He has a God given gift to not only dazzle an audience but empower them to graduate from the bleachers of mediocrity to get in the "Game of Life." Not only " go the distance " but swing for the fence and reach their full potential personally and professionally.  In the words of NEW movie "JOHN RAMBO" starring Sly Stallone: "Live for nothing or die for something .
